Baby Mine Sweater for Catherine Olivia

I have been working on designing a pattern that would not have to be seamed beneath the arms making it difficult to match the stripes when using a self shading yarn such as the Premier Angel Pink Dreams yarn.

The body is knit on the USM. The sleeves were knit by hand

The body is knit in one piece to maintain the shading pattern

Eden's Graduation Shrug

Little Miz Eden graduates from kindergarten soon and of course this means that Goodie must make something new for the special occasion. A girl only graduates from kindergarten once... right?

A great project using scrap yarn left over from making CoCo's blanket.

Working cables and eyelets on the USM is so much fun!

I have been hand knitting booties for new babies and a great great nephew that is due very soon. I will be making matching sweaters on the USM

BSJ Update

I'm making progress on Elizabeth Zimmermann's Baby Surprise Jacket. I knit while I listen to lectures for class. One would think that the knitting would distract from the lectures or visa versa, but the knitting seems to help me to focus and retain the information.

All I need to do now is to block and add buttons

The Beast's New Throne!

Big Daddy finished the table for The Beast and it is now set up in my office/studio! I will not repeat here the words I used while we attempted to carry the table up stairs... We got stuck trying to make the corner and ended up having to back track and remove the legs...

Big Daddy built a Big Table for The Beast!

8 feet long, @ 4 feet tall, and @ 100 pounds of solid back breaking wood!

I was productive too...

Starting to look like a sweater...

Sunday... Sunday...

This has been a busy day for all of us... Big Daddy is building a new table for The Beast. The existing table is not long enough to give the machine the support it needs.

I won't be able to use the Beast until tomorrow so I am busy winding yarn and organizing my studio/office which includes playing with Callie and cleaning her cage...
Can she be any cuter?

Umhmmm...

Tator Tot is such a good boy... he offered to help me clean Callie's cage....
Tator Tot likes to fill Callie's food cup...

He is very helpful...

Now I know why Callie's food cup runs empty so quickly!
Since I cannot use The Beast... I'm working on the Baby Surprise Jacket...
